Which beach is best for photographs?
Playa Delfines for the wide open view and the strongest turquoise, and the north-facing beaches when you want calm water and no surf. Your photographer will suggest the one that suits the time of day you book.
When does the light work best?
Sunrise on the Caribbean side, which faces east, and sunset over the Nichupte lagoon on the other side of the strip. Between about eleven and three the sun is directly overhead and unflattering.
What about the seaweed?
Sargassum season runs roughly from April to August and changes week to week along the coast. Your photographer will pick a stretch that is clear on the day rather than shoot around it.
