Private photoshoot
Train Street is a residential lane in Hanoi where the railway runs within a metre of the front doors, and the trains still pass several times a day. Your photographer knows the timetable and the access arrangements, which are controlled and change periodically. The narrow track, the hanging laundry and the cafés set into the houses give you a frame that exists nowhere else. Sessions are planned around the train times rather than the light.

A 30-minute Train Street photoshoot in Hanoi costs €59 and includes 20 edited photographs. Published packages range from €59 to €199.
A residential lane in the Old Quarter where the railway runs within a metre of the front doors. Families live and trade along it and the trackside cafes put stools out between the rails. It is one of the most distinctive backdrops in Hanoi and photographs unlike anywhere else in the city.
Access varies. Some entrances are gated at times and the local authorities manage who comes in, so your photographer checks the position on the morning of the shoot and tells you where to meet. If the lane is closed on the day, the session moves to Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter at no extra cost and you keep the same package.
Trains still run on the line. Your photographer knows the timetable, works to it, and will move you off the track well before anything passes — this is a photoshoot on a working railway, so you follow their direction throughout. If you are bringing small children, tell us when you book.
Early morning. The lane is narrow and shaded for most of the day, so the light is at its best not long after sunrise, and it is far quieter before the cafes fill up.
