Prague's Christmas market fills the Old Town Square from late November — the tree in front of the Týn church, the wooden stalls, and the astronomical clock lit behind it.

Your photographer works the square, the lanes around it and Charles Bridge, which is quiet and often misty at that hour.

The square is at its best just after dusk, when the stall lights come on but the sky still holds blue. December days are short and cold here, and snow is common enough to plan for.
