The cliffs give you the city skyline across the water. The Parklands give you the arbour walk and the beach. The bridge lights up after dark. Queensland doesn't observe daylight saving, so summer evenings end earlier than in Sydney. November to February, book the first or last two hours of the day.

When is the best time of day for photographs in Brisbane?
The hour before sunset. The city faces the river from the west bank, so the skyline and the Story Bridge light up at the end of the day, and the bridge itself is lit after dark. Brisbane sun is hard through the middle of the day with very little shade on the river walks.
