The Croisette, the old port and the lanes of Le Suquet

Cannes gives you two very different backdrops within a short walk of each other. Le Suquet is the old town on the hill — narrow lanes, shuttered houses, the clock tower and a view back across the whole bay. Down at sea level the Croisette runs along the water, with the beach, the palms and the old port. Your photographer meets you at the Cannes sign on the waterfront. From there you can work the promenade and the sand, then climb into Le Suquet for the lanes and the viewpoint, or do both in a longer session. The light off the bay is at its best in the first hours of the day and again in the late afternoon, when the old town stone goes warm. Summer brings crowds to the Croisette; the lanes above stay quiet most of the year. Your edited photographs arrive within 48 hours.
