Playa del Inglés runs for three kilometres along the southern edge of Gran Canaria, with the Maspalomas dune field rising directly behind it. It is the most photographed stretch of the island, and the one most people picture when they picture Gran Canaria. Your photographer meets you at Café Mozart, a few minutes from the promenade. From there you can work the waterline, the boardwalk, or walk up into the dunes — the ridges are a short climb and the sand changes colour completely between morning and evening. Early morning and the last hour before sunset are the strongest light. Through the middle of the day the sun is high and flat, and the wind picks up across the open sand through the afternoon. Your edited photographs arrive within 48 hours.
