Oia is the village at the northern tip of Santorini — blue domes, whitewashed walls, and the caldera dropping away several hundred metres behind you. Your photographer knows which terraces give you domes without rooftops and cables in the way, which is harder than it looks. Sunrise is the hour: the lanes are empty, the light is pink, and the whole village is yours. Sunset is famously crowded — the castle viewpoint fills an hour beforehand. Wind on the caldera edge is constant.
